1946

In 1946, after returning from World War II, William Kimmel started working for himself under the name “Kimmel Painting Company.”

Early 1950s

In the early 1950s William’s son, Carl, began painting in the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY, as their first industrial job.

1962

In 1962, Kimmel Painting Company was incorporated by his son, Carl William Kimmel.

1996

It was not until 1996 that Kimmel Painting Company was bought by David Brooks, Carl’s Son-in-Law, and the name changed to “Peak Industrial Coatings and Linings, Inc.”

2012 and 2017

David's sons Tanner and Wesley joined the family business as the 4th generation to serve the Louisville area through protective coatings
